SDSU Static Test

The SDSU Rocket Project recently carried out a static test of their new rocket, powered by an LR101 rocket engine the test, unfortunately, involved the engine running rich due to a burn through in the throat.

Video Caption: We (SDSU Rocket Project), test fired our LR101 rocket motor at FAR (Friends of Amateur Rocketry). The motor is powered by kerosene and LOX with pressure in both tanks regulated by helium.

Another angle of the test fire saw one of the GoPro’s used to record the footage get slightly hot as can be seen in the below video!
