Video Caption: In the afternoon hours of 2016-05-07, the WARR Rocketry team tested its “Frigate” rocket engine for the fifth time. A cylindrical grain was used, to operate the engine for the full duration of 10 s. The test verified the latest nozzle layout for the upcoming tests with increased thrust, using a star shaped grain. All performance parameters were nominal, rendering the test a complete success.

Propellant: HTPB + LOX
Thrust: 530 N
The Frigate engine built by the students will power the teams WARR EX3 rocket with the aim of reaching 15km in altitude.
The team is also part of the STERN rocket program for students, which see’s teams building and launching their experimental rockets from Esrange in Sweden.
